Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Astral website and mobile apps (together, the "Service"). Astral is a product of Mistiq LLC ("Astral", "we", "us"), an Illinois limited liability company. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Two different things live in Astral, and the difference matters. An account you connect is your own real brokerage account: its holdings are real, and an order you confirm in Astral is sent to that brokerage and can fill. Everything else, including the practice ledger, round ups, Autopilot, recurring plans, baskets, the rebalance planner and paper trading, is a simulation that moves no money and places nothing at a brokerage. Each screen says which one it is. Astral does not open, hold or maintain accounts, and never holds your money.

Who can use Astral

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. You agree to give accurate information and keep it current, which matters here because your residency and tax answers decide how Astral treats you. You are responsible for your login credentials and for activity under your account, and you agree to tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

Astral is not your broker and not your adviser

Mistiq LLC is not a broker dealer, is not a registered investment adviser, and is not a bank. Astral is software. Brokerage services, where offered, are provided by a separately regulated third party partner under its own customer agreement and disclosures, which you accept directly with that partner. Nothing in the Service is investment, tax, or legal advice, or a recommendation or solicitation to buy or sell any security or other asset.

Investing carries risk, including the loss of the money you put in. Past performance does not predict future results. Any projection, goal tracker, illustration, or sample portfolio in the Service is an illustration only and is not a promise of a result.

The AI coach

The coach is an educational feature built on a third party language model. It can be wrong, it can be confidently wrong, and it does not know your full circumstances. It is not personalised investment advice and must not be relied on as the basis for a decision. Your coach messages and a summary of your portfolio are sent to our model provider to generate a reply, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Orders and execution

Submitting an order in Astral is an instruction, not a guarantee. Orders may be delayed, rejected, repriced, or cancelled by us or by our brokerage partner, including for insufficient cash, market conditions, halted or restricted symbols, suspected abuse, or technical failure. Limit and stop orders execute only if their conditions are met and may never execute at all. Market data may be delayed and is provided without warranty.

Premium subscriptions

Some features require Astral Premium, sold at $39.99 per year or $4.99 per month, with prices and included features subject to change on notice. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then current price until cancelled, and you authorise us or the applicable app store to charge the payment method on file for each renewal.

Bought on the web, payment is handled by Stripe and you can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves access in place until the end of the paid period.
Bought inside an iOS or Android app, the purchase is governed by Apple's or Google's terms. Cancellations and refunds are handled through that store's subscription settings, not by us.

Except where the law or a store's policy says otherwise, payments are not refundable for a period already started.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service unlawfully, including for market manipulation, money laundering, or evading sanctions.
Do not submit anyone else's identity or financial information, and do not provide false information.
Do not probe, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.
Do not resell or redistribute market data or other content from the Service.

Suspension and closing your account

You may stop using Astral at any time and can request deletion as set out in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we are required to act on by law or by our brokerage partner, or that presents a fraud or security risk. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will tell you why.

Intellectual property

The Service, including the Astral name, logo, text, and design, belongs to Mistiq LLC and is protected by intellectual property law. You get a personal, revocable, non transferable licence to use the Service as intended. Anything you submit stays yours, and you grant us the licence needed to operate the Service for you.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free of error, or that any figure or data shown is accurate or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law permits, Mistiq LLC and its members, officers, employees, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or investment losses, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Mistiq LLC against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of law or of another person's rights.

Changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and we may update these terms. When a change is material we will revise the date above and give notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
